ADI and Ocean Kayak (Johnson Outdoors) has teamed up to produce marketing materials for the Ocean Kayak dealer network. Ocean Kayak uses ADI to produce up-to-date sales and marketing signage and sales guides.

Ocean Kayak provides 22" x 28" full card signs to their dealers to help market Ocean Kayak's boats. Originally, Ocean Kayak wanted to use offset lithography to produce the 22" x 28" full card signs. They came to ADI looking for a quote to mount the posters to Foamcore. At that time Ocean Kayak was estimating that ADI would need to be able to mount about 6000 full card signs. ADI's knowledge of the technology paid off for Ocean Kayak. ADI suggested that Ocean Kayak print directly to Foamcore using a UV curable inkjet printer. The ColorSpan (www.colorspan.com) UVR inkjet printer can print up to 72" wide in 4-color process color. The ColorSpan is able to print to a board up to ¼" in thickness.

Once Ocean Kayak agreed, ADI quickly installed the printer and is now printing full card sign utilizing an On-Demand print workflow. Once the files are approved for print, ADI store the files on-site and prints order for dealers as they are needed.
